Evie-Mae was born on 21st May 2011 with Downs Syndrome. The youngest of four sisters she instantly became the heart of our family and as she grew up she knew she had every one of us wrapped around her little finger.

At 19 months old she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML). She spent 6 months at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where she received 3 types of toxic chemotherapy which completely wiped her out. It made her sick, made her lose her hair, made her eyes red and sore, made her itch all over but most of all it made her well again. Evie went into remission 🥰

She then thrived. She hit all her milestones and went to mainstream school.
She loved sports, especially football and basketball and was really good at them. She also loved swimming, she made sure she filled every moment having fun.

Then in February 2019, at age 7 she got another diagnosis. This time Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL). She started treatment straight away, more chemotherapy, steroids, blood and platelet transfusions then after multiple relapses came new treatments, Blinatumomab and pioneering CAR-T therapy at Great Ormond Steet Hospital in London. Although there were some awful and scary moments including having kidney stones and temporary sight loss in both eyes for the most part she did not let it stop her enjoying life to the full.
She loved sports, she once done a fundraiser for Downs Syndrome Oxford (DSO) where she tried 21 sports in 21 days, she raised lots of money.
Another very proud moment was when she got to hold Jill Scott's hand and lead her beloved Lionesses out onto the pitch 🦁

She loved fast cars and was saving for her favourite, a Lambourgini.
We were lucky enough to ride in a few beautiful and fast cars including a Ferrari and a Mclaren and just days before her passing she got to fly up the bypass in a convertible Mercedes, two in two days infact 🥰
She loved holidays and fun days out. We always had a 'jolly' pencilled in on the calendar.
She loved music and musicals. High School Musical was her favourite.
She also loved comedy, Gavin and Stacey and Miranda Hart were her faves, she was over the moon when she received a message from Ruth Jones, James Corden and all the cast whilst filming the latest Christmas special and then a beautiful message from Miranda too.
She was a bit naughty, loved a swear word and the idea of having a cider and getting drunk 😂
She also loved crafting and playing games.
But most of all she loved her family and we really really love her.

We miss you so much Evie, you were the one who instigated our days/nights out together. I promise you sweetheart we will continue to get together and support each other in your honour.
Rest now our beautiful girl and come back and see us when you can.
We love you forever and beyond 💪🦁🥰
